A Momentary Thought

Gaza is still being hit with new strikes amidst Israel was poised to unilaterally halt 22 days war on Hamas that has killed 1,200 Palestinians. This is the time I have come to a realization that newly-elected-hailed Obama is no different from Bush. Though he is yet to step in officially into the Oval Office of the West Wing of the White House, I can tell he is not capable of doing anything, other than being a good speaker or narrator. I guess everyone knows that the only way for any candidate being eligible to vie for presidential post, is by pledging loyalty to Israel. It is a requisite since they are the deciding voters in both Democratic and Republican.

Recently, Bush said America is respected for its compassions, and this is a reply from Paul Craig Roberts, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration, in his article “The Humiliation of America” –

“The compassion of bombing a UN school for girls?

The compassion of herding 100 Palestinians into one house and then shelling it?

The compassion of bombing hospitals and mosques?

The compassion of depriving 1.5 million Palestinians of food, medicine, and energy?

The compassion of violently overthrowing the democratically elected Hamas government?

The compassion of blowing up the infrastructure of one of the poorest and most deprived people on earth?

The compassion of abstaining from a Security Council vote condemning these actions?

And this is a repeat of what the Israelis and Americans did to Lebanon in 2006, what the Americans did to Iraqis for six years and are continuing to do to Afghans after seven years. And still hope to do to the Iranians and Syrians.

Apart from that, he added in his writing of how superior is the master-servant relationship between Ehud Olmert (being the master) and Bush.

"Early Friday morning the secretary of state was considering bringing the cease-fire resolution to a UNSC vote and we didn't want her to vote for it," Olmert said. "I said 'get President Bush on the phone.' They tried and told me he was in the middle of a lecture in Philadelphia. I said 'I'm not interested, I need to speak to him now.' He got down from the podium, went out and took the phone call."

"Let me see if I understand this," wrote a friend in response to news reports that Israeli Prime Minister Olmert ordered President Bush from the podium where he was giving a speech to receive Israel's instructions about how the United States had to vote on the UN resolution. "On September 11th, President Bush is interrupted while reading a story to school children and told the World Trade Center had been hit--and he went on reading. Now, Olmert calls about a UN resolution when Bush is giving a speech and Bush leaves the stage to take the call. There exists no greater example of a master-servant relationship."

Honestly I’m really not into gathering and protesting over something, but when the assembly was held protesting Israeli strikes on Gaza and the whole community of the university congregated, it proved the solidarity of the ummah, I could not be happier, no one could be happier. That’s the proof of how unite we can be. Few resolutions were made and I swear in the name of Allah, I’ll steadfast to the resolutions that include mainly boycotting Americans and Israeli products. I don’t care if I have to refrain from eating those fatty and killing things, even if I have to stop drinking my regular drink.

The Jews have taught us one great lesson, that if we have proper planning and perfectly executing the task, we can succeed. I’m not sure since when did the effort of taking the Palestinian land begin, but I heard they were trying to acquire the land, if not through diplomatic channel but by force, begin since the era before the collapse of Empire of Uthmaniyyah.

Our dean said that the determination, the spirit must be constantly ignited. Though I may not be the right person to tell you this, but if we really care, really care of our Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine, by now we should have had the spirit of studying hard and be willing to be selfless for the sake of ummah. There’s a lot that can be achieved if we let go all the tiny little spat, wasting time doing unnecessary things and spending more time doing social works or doing some readings in preparation for being forward-looking generation. Finally, the credibility of UIA in producing up-to-expectation graduates has been questioned. Check out latest Milennia edition.

Dr. Wahan diperlukan...

Assalamualaikkum..
sukalah disini saya berkongsi sebuah cerpen, karangan seorang sahabat..sangat menarik untuk dibaca dan dihayati..slmt membaca.
***********************************************************

Saya memandang classlist di tangan. Sengaja saya sambungkan kontrak
kerja saya sebagai `part timer' di UIA sebagai fasilitator untuk
sistem halaqah di sana.

Sekali lagi saya perbaharui niat.

Niat : Mahu menjentik jiwa-jiwa yang mahu kenal ISLAM. Mahu jawab
depan Allah saya ada alasan nak beli syurga nanti. Mahu cakap depan
Allah, saya bukan duduk saja-saja simpan ilmu. Takut nanti

Hati : haish, nak berehat lagikah wahai badan?

Saya jalan ke bilik ustaz di CCAC ( Bahagian yang menguruskan halaqah
UIA). Ada seorang ajnabi sedang berbincang dengan ustaz. Saya pandang
lagi classlist. Entah kenapa saya mahu tukar kumpulan. Hanya kerana 4
nama yang asing menggugat keyakinan saya.

Hajat tersampai. Sebab kenapa saya mahu menukar kumpulan itulah
biarlah rahsia. Cuma ketika berbincang dengan ustaz, tiba-tiba hati
saya dicubit-cubit. Hati saya jenuh mencebik-cebik. Bukan tidak sedar
apa yang berlaku tetapi tidak sampai mahu memberi perubahan.

" Ni, student master yang apply nak jadi part timer semua nak pilih
hari jumaat untuk buat halaqah. Tengok major dalam Qur'an Sunnah. Tapi
Suruh berkorban hujung minggu sedikit untuk tarbiyyah students pun tak
mahu. Baru minta sedikit waktu dia. Belum minta tenaga atau darah
untuk Islam."

Wahan-wahan. Sedikit-sedikit kau serang manusia ya.

" Cuba tengok apa jadi kat palestin. Ni, orang kafir tu faham sejarah
lebih dari kita faham sejarah. Kalau kita dok laung Khaibar-khaibar,
mereka juga bukan sekadar laung khaibar tu. Tengok apa yang mereka
buat kat Palestin sekarang. Tu baru sejarah. Mereka faham hadith lebih
dari kita faham hadith. Tak lekang kat mulut orang Islam dok
sebut-sebut, seseorang itu tak sempurna imannya kalau dia tak cintakan
saudaranya seperti mencintai dirinya sendiri.

Tapi yang dok guna hadis tu siapa? Bila Seorang penganut kafir
dijentik ,menyerbu semua serang Islam. Ni, beratur mayat orang Islam
kat Palestin berapa ramai yang berani nak berdiri depan tank Israel
tebus nyawa? Mana kasih sayang? Nak letak duit seringgit dalam tabung
pun masih takut nanti mati kelaparan tak cukup bajet."

Saya menelan air liur. Bukan saya tak tahu. Bukan saya tak sedar semua
ini. Tapi tiada momentum untuk menggerak daya tubuh. Menjana semangat
berapi-api.

Saya kitari bilik ustaz. Ada banyak kitab-kitab tersusun di rak. Juga
sedikit bersepah katanya banyak fail-fail fasi yang belum dituntut.

Saya mahu membuka mulut. Saya matikan semula. Dicelah lagi.

" Tahu strategi perang?"

" Eh, saya?"

" Tahu?"

Saya diam. Sedikit geleng.

" Kalau musuh attack, kita defend. Musuh attack lagi, kita defend.
Sampai bila boleh bertahan. Lama-lama lembikla sebab dah tak larat.
Mana strategi? Patutnya, musuh attack kita defend. Lepas tu attack
balik. Kita tengok Israel dok attack palestin. Kita kat sini dok
pekik-pekik pertahankan Palestin. Israel tambah lagi bom. Kali ni bagi
fosforus putih. Hangus habis semua orang palestin. Apa kita buat? lagi
kuat kita laung pertahankan Palestin. Mana team attack? Melemahkan
musuh adalah dengan menyibukkan mereka dengan serangan kita."

Hah, mengajar saya tentang perang pula. Tetapi hati saya lebih
terkinja-kinja. Wajah ustaz berkerut-kerut melampiaskan rasa tidak
puas hatinya.

" Macam mana Israel attack kita?"

" Err, erm, dia lancar perang kat Palestin."

" Bukan, cara lagi bijak. Cara mereka sibukkan kita?"

Ustaz cuba memandu saya. Rasa macam betul sahaja jawapan yang saya
sudah beri itu.

" Ha, dia buat MLM juga. Kalau kat Malaysia lainla cara dia attack.
Sejarah mereka tak de kat sini. Buat apa nak buat perang. Apa mereka
buat? Nah, ada team penyebar virus Wahan menjangkiti masyarakat. Lagi
bahaya. Kalau serang dengan perang, takpe juga mati syahid. Ni kalau
serang dengan wahan, mati semua macam pelesit. Tu, awak jejak saja
keluar sikit dari UIA, mangsa-mangsa virus WAHAN tengah tenat diserang."

Wahan.wahan. suatu ketika saya terbaca tentang wahan. Minta jauh Ya
Allah. Menjauhlah Wahan.

Sabda Rasulullah : " Suatu waktu di akhir zaman orang kafir menyerbu
orang Islam seperti binatang buas menghurung bangkai. Sahabat lalu
bertanya : apakah kerana jumlah kami sedikit ya Rasulullah? Baginda
menjawab : tidak, bilangan kamu terlalu banyak tetapi ibarat buih-buih
di lautan. Sahabat bertanya lagi : kenapa sampai begitu ya
Rasulullah?" Baginda menjawab : kerana penyakit wahn iaitu cintakan
dunia dan takutkan mati."- mafhum hadith –

" Erm, fahamkan? Macam mana? Dah tahu nak attack balik?"

Saya mendongak. Sekarang saya faham. Tugas saya adalah pada Wahan!
